Add Overlay to an Image Without Uploading

A logo sticker, badge, or color bar belongs on the photo, not in someone else’s cloud. The ToolSphere Image Overlay tool composites an image or solid color onto a base photo in your browser so drafts stay on your device.

Overlay vs watermark

A watermark is usually a fixed proof mark—corner or center text or logo. An overlay is a freeform layer: drag a sticker, badge, brand asset, or solid color block anywhere and size it to the frame.

Use Watermark Image when you want quick, consistent corner marks. Use Image Overlay when placement must sit on a quiet region, add a color bar or tint, or match a layout mock.

How to add an overlay locally

A short browser workflow:

  • Crop or resize the base photo to the final frame first.
  • Open Image Overlay and drop the base image.
  • Choose Image overlay (PNG with transparency) or Color overlay.
  • Drag the layer into place, set size and opacity, then download PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
  • For a full-frame tint, use Color at 100% width and height with lower opacity.

Why skip upload converters

Many “add logo online” sites require an upload before you can place a mark. For unpublished shoots or client drafts, that is unnecessary risk. Canvas composition in the tab keeps the pixels on your device for this tool.

After you flatten the overlay, compress or convert if a CMS has a size or format limit—see JPG vs WebP if you are choosing a web export.
